Nearly everyone I see recommended Glazed 8.X versions over Blazed Glazed, and the best reasons I've seen for that is pretty much everything that I had fixed or polished in Glazed, still exist undone in Blazed Glazed. My goal was to fix and polish the existing game to meet the standards you would find in a hack that comes out today. It still is limited to only the moves and abilities found in Gen3 though (with a couple exceptions, including a few more added in 8.7), so a couple stray Pokémon have shallow movepools. But version 8.X has not only adjusted the difficulty curve, but added tons of bugfixes and polish to nearly every corner of the game, as well as adding several changes Blazed Glazed had made. 7b was the version most people think of when talking about Glazed, and that's over 4 years old, having mainly the Gen3 movepool and a janky difficulty curve. It's main goal was to expand upon the game. It was made by a different user with the original creator permission. But it changes many of the base stats and typing of the Pokémon from what they are in the regular games, and not only lacks the version 7+8 tweaks and fixes, it actually adds a few bugs of its own. This and the better game balance over Glazed version 7b is the main selling points. Blazed Glazed, based on version 6 of Glazed, changes a lot of Pokémon from Glazed into new Pokémon and adds many new moves and abilities, as well as its own tweaks not present in Glazed.
